This is Erika Bower, Superintendent of Ridgedale Local Schools, where we are dedicated to empowering students to reach their full potential through our core values: learning, safety, community partnerships, and fiscal responsibility.
For February, our Portrait of a Rocket competency has focused on leadership—a quality our students overwhelmingly prioritized when shaping the Portrait of a Rocket. We couldn’t agree more! Leadership is essential in every aspect of our students’ lives—whether in the classroom, on the field or court, or within our community. Every student serves as a role model, and we encourage them to set a positive example for others.

📌 ACT Testing for Juniors, Tuesday, February 25
📌 High School Boys’ Basketball is in tournament play on Tuesday as well—Good luck! 🏀
📌 OHSAA Girls’ Regional Tournaments are happening here on Wednesday and Saturday—we are happy to host!
📌 Grownups with Donuts for 2nd Grade, Friday, February 28
📌 Fueled Up Friday for all students during the day, Friday, February 28
📌 Spring Conferences are coming! No school for students on Monday, March 3 for conferences from 11am-7pm. Evening conferences are on Wednesday, March 5 from 4-6:30pm. Call your child’s school to schedule conferences if you have not already done so.
🎭 Tickets are still available for our spring musical, The Descendants! Join us for this spectacular show from Friday, March 7 – Sunday, March 9. You won’t want to miss it!
🚍 We’re hiring! Want to be part of our small district doing big things? We’re looking for bus drivers for regular routes—training is available! We also need substitutes for teachers, food services, custodians, secretaries, aides, and more. Apply today on our website and help support our students!
