Weekly Update 11-24-24

Good afternoon, Rocket families!

This is Erika Bower, Superintendent of Ridgedale Local Schools, where our mission is to empower students to reach their full potential through our cornerstones of learning, safety, partnerships with our community, and fiscal responsibility.

Basketball games kick off this week and bowling continues! On Monday, the jr. high girls’ basketball team plays at home. On Tuesday, there will be an MTC rep here to talk to high school students during lunch. High school bowling competes at Cooper’s Bowl, and the high school girls’ basketball team plays at home. There is no school Wednesday, November 27 through Friday, November 29 for Thanksgiving break. On Friday, there will be a Meet the Teams event that includes alumni basketball games against Elgin. This event kicks off at 4:15pm and is sure to be a good time!

Please remember to regularly check your child’s grades. You can access them on PowerSchool. Please contact your child’s building if you need help accessing PowerSchool.

Do you have a child who is ready to start driver’s education? Be sure you reach out to Ms. Clark at the jr/sr high to get scheduled through our CODE Grant and partnership with Muskingum Valley ESC Driver’s Education, which allows students to train at a reduced rate.

We are a small district doing big things, so be sure to keep up to date with all of the news and events by using our website, Google Calendar, and social media.

Are you looking for a way to give back to our community? We are actively searching for bus drivers to drive regular routes! We can train you for this certification. We are also hiring subs for teachers, food services, custodians, secretaries, aides, and bus drivers. You can apply on our website.

Thank you for all you do for our students, our staff, and our community! Have a great week, and, as always, go, Rockets!
