Weekly Update 11-10-24

Good afternoon, Rocket families!

This is Erika Bower, Superintendent of Ridgedale Local Schools, where our mission is to empower students to reach their full potential through our cornerstones of learning, safety, partnerships with our community, and fiscal responsibility.

Tomorrow, our 3rd and 4th grade Veterans’ Day program begins at 8:30am. If you are planning on attending, please do not arrive until after 8am. We will have the cones moved so attendees can park out back, but this will not be open until the buses are unloaded and parked. This is critical for the safety of our students. Once you park out back, you will enter and check in through the front doors.

On Monday, there is an athletic and booster meeting at 5:30pm. There is an elementary PTO meeting on Tuesday. The jr. high and high school volleyball banquet is on Wednesday. On Thursday, students in 2nd, 4th, and 5th are watching a performance at the Palace in the morning, while 1st and 3rd will attend the performance at the Palace in the afternoon. The jr. high football and cheerleading banquet will be on Thursday as well. On Friday, 8th graders will be visiting Tri Rivers during the day, and the golf banquet will take place in the evening. Basketball is in full swing! There are many scrimmages throughout this week as our teams prepare for the official season to start! There is also a youth basketball clinic on Saturday, and the bowling team hosts their first event, the Baker Bash, starting at 9am at Cooper’s Bowl!

Do you have a child who is ready to start driver’s education? Be sure you reach out to Ms. Clark at the jr/sr high to get scheduled through our CODE Grant. We have partnered with Muskingum Valley ESC Driver’s Education to provide this at a reduced cost!

We are a small district doing big things, so be sure to keep up to date with all of the news and events by using our website, Google Calendar, and social media.

Are you looking for a way to give back to our community? We are actively searching for bus drivers to drive regular routes! We can train you for this certification. We are also hiring subs for teachers, food services, custodians, secretaries, aides, and bus drivers. You can apply on our website.

Thank you for all you do for our students, our staff, and our community! Have a great week, and, as always, go, Rockets!
