Weekly Update 10-20-24

Good afternoon, Rocket families!

This is Erika Bower, Superintendent of Ridgedale Local Schools, where our mission is to empower students to reach their full potential.

Just a quick reminder that there is no school tomorrow, October 21, as this is a professional development day for our staff. Our regular board of education meeting is tomorrow as well at 6pm in the district office. Mrs. Keller’s kindergarten class is at Safety City this week. This is always a week of important learning for our kindergarteners. We have FFA students traveling to the National Convention in Indianapolis this week. This is a another phenomenal experience for our students! On Wednesdays, Mr. Neutzling and Ms. Yaksic are hosting an after school homework session from 3-5pm for jr/sr high students. Encourage your child to take advantage of this time to get work done with assistance. 4th graders will hold their Donuts with Grownups on Friday morning. We will also hold our Fueled Up Friday this week. This time not only allows our Building Leadership Teams to meet while our students are focusing on our Portrait of a Graduate competencies, but they are also able to participate in a variety of enrichment activities as well. We will be celebrating senior night on Friday at the football game, so be sure to come out! Cross country will be running in the regional cross country meet on Saturday. Be sure to cheer them on! Mark your calendars for Tuesday, October 29. We will be holding Boo at the Dale from 5-6:30pm. The fall band concert will take place at 7:30pm on Tuesday after Boo at the Dale.

We are proud to be a small district doing big things, so be sure to keep up to date with all of the news and events by using our website, Google Calendar, and social media.

Are you looking for a way to give back to our community? We are actively searching for bus drivers to drive regular routes! We can train you for this certification. We are also hiring subs for teachers, food services, custodians, secretaries, aides, and bus drivers. You can apply on our website.

Thank you for all you do for our students, our staff, and our community! Have a great week, and, as always, go, Rockets!
