Weekly Update 9-29-24

Hello, Rocket families!

This is Erika Bower, Superintendent of Ridgedale Local Schools, where our mission is to empower students to reach their full potential while focusing on learning, safety, partnerships with our community, and fiscal responsibility.

Don’t forget that fall conferences take place Monday, September 30, from 11am-7pm, so there is no school for students. There will also be conference times on Wednesday, October 2, from 4-6:30pm. Be sure to get signed up to meet with your child’s teachers to support their education. Remember, you can check your child’s grades at any time using PowerSchool. If you are unable to log into PowerSchool, please contact your child’s building. The elementary is holding Title I parent meetings on Monday at 11am and Wednesday at 6pm. Please plan to attend one of these meetings to learn about Title I funding and the support it provides. The elementary book fair will be held Tuesday through Friday this week. Stock up on some great books while supporting our students!

This week, we have many events where you can support our Rocket community. On Monday, high school volleyball plays Mt. Gilead at home, and jr. high volleyball plays at Waynesfield Goshen. Jr. high volleyball plays at Colonel Crawford, and cross country competes at Crestline on Tuesday. On Thursday, high school volleyball plays Waynesfield Goshen, and it’s senior night. Jr. high football also plays North Baltimore at home on Thursday. High school football will be on the road at North Baltimore on Friday. On Saturday, cross country competes at the Harding Invite, and high school volleyball plays at the Ridgemont Memorial Invite.

The softball Color Run takes place on Sunday, October 13! What a fun way to support the team! Sign up online or in person the day of the race! See our website for more details.

We are proud to be a small district doing big things, so be sure to keep up to date with all of the news and events by using our website, Google Calendar, and social media.

Are you looking for a way to give back to our community? We are actively searching for bus drivers to drive regular routes. We can train you for this certification. We are also hiring subs for teachers, food services, custodians, secretaries, aides, and bus drivers. You can apply on our website.

Thank you for all you do for our students, our staff, and our community! Have a great week, and, as always, go, Rockets!
