As part of our new partnership with Marion Voices, Ms. Jess Lamar Reece Holler presented to Ridgedale Elementary staff about the important work that Marion Voices does within Marion County and the work they will do with our building this fall.
RES was able to connect with Marion Voices due to our extended TeachArtsOhio Grant from the Ohio Arts Council. Artists affiliated with Marion Voices will be working with our students to share their cultural arts and folklore throughout the fall.
During our staff professional development day, teachers took part in a cultural heritage assets mapping project that Marion Voices has been running to help identify and document the cultural, historic, arts, natural & community resources available within Marion County.
We are excited to partner with Marion Voices this year and learn from our local artists!
