Good afternoon, Rocket families!
This is Erika Bower, Superintendent of Ridgedale Local Schools, where our mission is to empower students to reach their full potential while focusing on learning, safety, partnerships with our community, and fiscal responsibility.
We had the opportunity to take advantage of a grant in partnership with Battelle for Kids and the North Central Ohio Educational Service Center to create a Portrait of a Graduate for our district, and we will need your help! Through this process, we will work with our stakeholders to determine the skills, dispositions, and competencies we believe our students need to empower them to be successful in our ever-changing world. A survey will be sent out next week. Thank you in advance for your feedback in this process!
Look for our community newsletter in your mailbox very soon! The newsletter allows us to share the story of the daily work we are doing in more detail. We have so much to offer our students, so be sure to read this newsletter and share the great work we are doing!
Plan ahead for these upcoming events. Tomorrow, Monday, our elementary will be hosting their second library night at Marion Public Library starting at 5:30pm. All juniors, including our juniors attending Tri Rivers, will be taking the ACT this Tuesday, February 27. The musical production of Guys and Dolls is this weekend at the Palace Theater! Join us for a performance on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday! Students and musical staff have been hard at work to put on a fantastic show! Check out our website for all of the details! High school boys’ basketball will compete in tournament play on Saturday. Don’t forget Parent/Teacher Conferences are just around the corner! They will take place from 11am-7pm on Monday, March 4, so there will be no school for students on this day. You can also sign up for conferences on Wednesday, March 6, from 4-6:30pm. Look for communication from each building regarding sign up details. We hope you take this opportunity to meet with your child’s teachers to continue to build our partnership for their success!
We encourage you to follow our LiveFeed on our website as well as social media to watch all of the phenomenal work being done! You can also find events on our Google Calendar on our website.
We are still hiring! Consider becoming a substitute in our schools! You can join our team as a substitute aide, teacher, cafeteria worker, custodian, secretary, and/or bus driver. Please fill out an application on our website, and email me to set up an interview.
Thank you for all you do for our students, our staff, and our community! Make it a great week, and Go, Rockets!
