This is Erika Bower, Superintendent of Ridgedale Local Schools, where our mission is to empower students to reach their full potential while focusing on learning, safety, partnerships with our community, and fiscal responsibility.
Are you looking for a part-time job that provides flexibility and allows you to make a difference in our community? If so, consider becoming a substitute in our schools! You can join our team as a substitute aide, teacher, cafeteria worker, custodian, secretary, and/or bus driver. Please fill out an application on our website. Grade cards for the first nine weeks will be coming out this week. Be on the lookout for them, but also know that you can check your child’s grades at any time on PowerSchool.
There is a Halloweek for the jr/sr high this week. Monday is movie villain day. Tuesday is twin day. Wednesday is pajama day. Thursday is ghost or goblin day, and Friday is costume day. The elementary school is celebrating Red Ribbon week. On Monday, students can wear red. Tuesday is team wear. Wednesday is pajama day. Thursday is checkered or plaid day, and Friday is costume day. Please note that our 3rd graders will be taking their fall Ohio State Testing on Tuesday and Wednesday this week. Make sure your 3rd grader gets plenty of sleep, and encourage them to do their best! The band and choir fall concert is Tuesday, October 24. Scare at the School and Boo at the Dale is this Wednesday. There is a transition fair this Thursday at Tri Rivers from 5:30-7:30pm. This is a free resource fair for families and students with disabilities. There is still time to sign up for youth basketball for 3rd grade boys and 4th-6th grade girls and boys Thursday, from 5:30-7:30pm. There is a junior high dance on Friday, after school until 5pm.
